It only dawned on me the other day that yesterday (the 26th of March) would be my first ever mother’s day. Not only would I be giving gifts and cards to my mum to tell her how special she is to me, but I’d be getting the same treatment? I honestly didn’t think much of it and I certainly didn’t know what to expect but Rob and Logan bought me the sweetest necklace since he knows I don’t like flowers (since I can’t smell them) or perfume or chocolates.
I know this necklace might not mean an awful lot to some of you, and you may even be wondering what on earth a golden snitch is but to me it symbolises the fact that I’m a mum and that I must be doing a good job. I may not be perfect all of the time but who is? But you know what it’s not about the gifts and the cards it’s about the little things, like getting a lie in and not being woken up/poked in the back at 6 in the morning. It’s about being made breakfast and being able to take a long hot soak in the bath with a bath bomb! (I do love me a bath bomb)
I’m so happy and so grateful to have Logan and Rob in my life, I don’t really care about anything else.
My family is so important to me and I wouldn’t change it for the world, not even the sleepless nights, there all part of motherhood and without Logan and without being slobbered on I wouldn’t be able to write this post today. So thank you, Logan Robert Jones, for existing, and thank you for showing me that I can be the best mum and showing me that I do have patience and that i can cook too!
(I apologise that this post is a day late, only i was out at my mum’s yesterday and I haven’t been too well lately, I’ve had really bad earache, and have suffered badly with them for as long as i can remember)
